I found this beautiful onion in the grocery store the other day and wanted to paint it with some garlic. The skin was loose and created some interesting patterns.
After many years of enjoying the beauty of calligraphy and the color of illumination I decide to take up oil painting.
I paint still life with vivid color and dramatic shadows.
I show my work from my home and in local shows.
"Art consists of limitation. The most beautiful part of every picture is the frame."
-- Chesterton
"A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful implanted in the human soul."

Wow! Your paintings are fantastic! I'm sure they are even better when viewed "live" and not just on a computer screen.
Thanks for sharing your artistic talents with the blogosphere!
